With uncertainty about the future and concern for public health, many of us are staying inside. But social distancing doesn’t have to mean total isolation. People are turning to platforms like Twitter to stay connected. ZEE5 along with digital media agency Digi Osmosis have ideated, initiated and executed India’s first-ever Twitter watch party which is #ChintuKaBirthdayWatchParty. ZEE5 is the first-ever in India to have done such a phenomenal and engagement centric activity in association with Twitter.

The current lockdown has opened avenues for films that were made a few years ago but never officially released. Chintu Ka Birthday was premiered last year at the multi-city Jagran Film Festival across India and also had special screenings across several cities. The ZEE5 Original film ‘Chintu Ka Birthday’ starring Vinay Pathak, Tillotama Shome, Seema Pahwa and Vedant Chibber is now streaming online. The film is set in war-torn Iraq in 2004. The Tiwari family is trying to celebrate the sixth birthday of Chintu (Vedant Raj Chibber), but obstacles keep coming in the way. Will Chintu get the celebration he so richly deserves?

To celebrate Chintu’s Birthday on Twitter, a pre buzz was initiated where the lead actor of the movie Vinay Pathak engaged with his fans on Twitter under  #AskVinay, in which he picked up the best questions asked by his fans and gave honest replies on the same. Post which an exclusive red carpet event was hosted where the AIB cast and the actors of the movie along with the handles ZEE5Premium and ZEE5 did a banter and encouraged people to join in. The Twitter party was scheduled for 7 pm and thus the countdown started from 6:45. At 7 pm, everyone started sharing screengrabs, relatable scenes with the entire cast and crew and from their responses to their own favourite scenes, the watch party began. It went on till 8:30, post which everyone spoke about what made this movie so special. It all ended with @zee5premium putting up a Twitter moment of this beautiful watch party thanking everyone to be a part of it. You can check it out here:
